You have the right to dispute the accuracy of the information PERS used to calculate your retirement benefit. PERS must receive your written and signed dispute letter either within 240 days of the date that PERS mails your Notice of Entitlement or by the due date of your first benefit payment, whichever is later.
To ensure you have properly identified your letter as a dispute, clearly mark your letter using the words "Dispute of Notice of Entitlement." Please be as specific as possible about the information you question or disagree with and the reason(s) why. Please also send copies of any documents supporting your position.
