Non-Duty Disability

To qualify for a non-duty disability A disability caused by an injury or disease that was not sustained while performing duties on the job. retirement, you must:

• have 10 years or more years of qualifying service as a Tier One or Tier Two member;
• be totally, not partially, disabled; and
• anticipate that you will be unable to perform any work for which you are qualified for a minimum of 90 consecutive days.

If you have fewer than 10 years of service, please have a PERS disability specialist review your service time.
