You are a Tier One or Tier Two member if you:
If you first started working for a PERS-participating employer An employer who participates in the Oregon Public Employees Retirement System (PERS). after August 28, 2003, you became a member of the OPSRP Pension Program if you qualified.
Your membership in PERS is portable, meaning that once you become a Tier One or Tier Two member, you remain a member if you later leave one participating employer to work in another qualifying position with another participating employer.
