You can have your monthly benefit payment deposited electronically into your checking or savings account. This will ensure that PERS deposits your payment on the first working day of the month. It also prevents lost or stolen checks.
Automatic deposit forms are available at PERS offices. You can also access the automatic deposit form on the PERS website by clicking the Form button.
After you send your automatic deposit request form to PERS requesting direct deposit, PERS verifies your bank account information and that your automatic deposit processes to the correct bank. During the verification period, PERS may send your benefit payment to your mailing address. Thereafter, PERS will automatically deposit your monthly benefit.
Note: Initial payments, including lump-sum and retroactive payments, may be processed before your direct deposit set up is complete. PERS mails those payments to your home mailing address.
